September 2005 NY Trip

Sheba Foods congratulated the Nine Presidents on August 24th, 2005 on their award from the Millennium Corp.

One of Sheba Foods goals is the empowerment of African women in trade. This trip was important because I got to speak briefly with the African Presidents in connecting with agencies in their countries in bringing products into the U.S. or other markets. The conversations went well and am excited that many of the countries want more of their women in trade and willing to do what it takes to generate revenue through that trade.

Changes to site - New Products
Our site is now categorized into countries. As promised, we now have Cashew Piri Piri (spicy cashews), Kenya coffee and other exotic products. We beg your patience as we upload the information in upcoming weeks, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The President of Namibia, His Excellency President Hifikepunye Pohamba sharing a moment at a dinner held in his honor, sponsored by Lazare Kaplan International Inc. This impressive gathering took place at the Metropolitan Club in New York.

September 14th, 2005 at the Essex House Grand Salon, New York. This dinner was held to honor the nine African countries eligible under the provisions of the Millennium Challenge Act (MCA) hosted by the Millennium Challenge Corporation. I was quite impressed with the multi-million dollar awards for each country. I am told one country got $74 Million, a well deserved present for fighting corruption and poverty. Thank you United States!. Merci, mucho gracias!! In speaking with these heads of states as well as giving them my business card, I planted the thought of investing part of their award in women trade initiatives.
