Akara - Acarajé - Bean Fritters (West Africa)
Appetizer or Snack is common in West African and Brazilian cuisines.
The Bean Balls are made from skin peeled Blackeye Peas, blended, made into a paste, and lightly spiced with onions. Deep fry with Vegetable Oil for a lighter taste or Palm-Oil for an authentic taste.
A favourite street food! As a breakfast option, served with Corn Pap or Yam and Stew.
